Hi Scott, in response to your question about liquid
or dry yeast. By far the best yeast to use would be
liquid. Liquid yeast is more of a purer strain where as
dried yeast is usually a variety of strains mixed together.
Liquid yeast will bring out those special characteristics
that are common in some of the famous beers such Guinness,
or Smithwicks. If you want your beers to taste like some of these
world famous beers, then a good starting point would be to switch
to liquid yeast.
