Below are the broad catergories for wine dryness-sweetness based upon final specific gravity readings:
Dry 0.990 - 1.000
Med. dry 1.000 - 1.008
Sweet > 1.008
Liquor stores often provide a numeric dry/sweetness code ranging from 00 (very dry) to 5 or 6 (very sweet). This is a more refined grading scale. Where would I be able to obtain the S.G. readings which corresponding to these different numeric codes.
