This is my first wine and I'm just asking for a pat on the back and someone that has done this alot to say "It's OK your doing good". I have made over the years many great beers but, I had a chance to pick some grapes and I had to give it a try.

I picked some late Cabernet Franc grapes 200+ lb's. They were at 23 1/2 brix added sulfur 0.3oz to must and a starter of French Red Wine yeast. After one week of Primary fermentation sugar down to 1 brix, I pressed and moved over to carboys. The sugar is @ 0 and to the best of my knwoledge I'm one week into malolactic fermentation as the bubbles are going strong and all the sugar is gone.
?
How long will ML fermentation last and when would it be a good time to rack and get the wine off of the yeast and lees.

From what I had read I was expecting the sugar to go below 0 but, I guess that is OK.

Making my first wine has been a great experience.

Frank
