The final gravity should be 1.000 or less.
To get your wine going you can first make a starter. Two cups of orange juice, 1/2 teaspoon of yeast nutrient, 1 package of wine yeast. Put this in a 1 quart bottle and attach an air lock or plug with a paper towel. When the fermentation is started (foam on top) it is ready to add to your wine.
You should then add 1 teaspoon of yeast nutrient and 1/2 teaspoon of yeast energizer per gallon of wine (some nutrients are a combination of these).
The starter is for 5 gallons if you have only 1 gallon of wine you can halve the starter.
