Cooler Quik # 2

Hello again, Bill

I put on a Cooler Quik kit on Sunday (8 Aug) and as of today (late Thursday) it doesn't seem to be working (i.e. no gas escaping through the airlock). I took a look in through the bung hole and it appeared as if the yeast was still sitting on top of the mixture. The instructions didn't say anything about stiring the yeast in. Should I have??
I've been keeping the temperature up around 78C.
Any suggestions? (I'm using a 23l fermenter)
