Hi Dennis!
As Bill Clinton would say "I share your pain" when it comes to removing labels. Here's what I do. I soak the bottles in the sink in dishwashing soap and VERY HOT water from the tap. Hot enough that I wear rubber gloves. When the labels crinkle they are ready to be scraped with a single-edged razor blade, or even my pocket knife. What glue is left can be removed with a scouring pad very easily. Good luck! :)
