Has your wine stopped fermenting? Did you stabilize it?
If the answer to these questions is yes here are some
tips to help remove excess gas.
1) Elevate the temperature to about 25 Celsius. Carbon
Dioxide gas will not dissolve readily in warm liquids.
2)Stir your wine vigorously 3 times a day for three days.
There is a neat tool call the Mix-Stir that attaches to
an electric drill which makes this job easy.
3)This will remove most of the gas but not all of it.
If you want to remove more gas you will have to use a
vaccuum pump Racking a couple of extra times also
helps to remove excess gas.
