Wine Kits Have New Names
If you buy a White Bordeaux wine kit it's still white but
it isn't bordeaux anymore!

After
a long dragged out battle with INAO, wine kit
manufacturers have finally succumbed to the
demands of the French wine standards organization.
The dispute centered around the fact that Canadian
wine kit manufacturers where using French wine
names on their wine kits that were protected
under international trade agreements. This has
been going on for quite a while. The kit manufacturers
where forced to change some names about five
years but they resisted changing them all. Both
sides have now come to an agreement and the
CHWTA have released new trademark names to replace
all of the French names. The table below is
a complete list of all the old names and the
new CHWTA trademark names that are replacing
them.
