Brew House Premium All-Grain Beer Kits

The Brewhouse Kit is an entirely new concept in home brewing. Until now, most homemade beer has been made with concentrated malt extract syrup. The Brewhouse Kit produces all-grain microbrew style beer with the convenience of a kit. Brewed from fresh grain and hops, it is pure all-grain wort, made the same way as commercial microbrewed beers. Gentle handling preserves the delicate aromas and flavours. Crisp Pilsner, rich pale ale, malty Munich dark lager, hoppy ESB, luscious stout, spicy wheat beer and even an incredibly light North American lager all show brilliant character.

Fresh grains make fresh beer: The Brew House Kit is made from 100% grain. The grains are cracked just before brewing and gently steeped in water at our custom designed German-style brew house. After the sweet wort is drawn off, it's carefully boiled with generous amounts of hops. Then, without adding water or concentrate, we aseptically package it for maximum flavour and aroma. With our technology, we have total control over every step of the brewing process; we can even do Czech-style decoction mashing, the most technically demanding brewing in the world.

Our styles are the real microbrew-style McCoy. Sweated over by two certified beer judges—both experienced prize-winning homebrewers—and a German Quality Control scientist, these kits are as close to the described style as possible. They conform to the definitions laid out by the authorities: namely Michael Jackson and the American Homebrewers Association.

india pale ale

India Pale Ale
STYLES AND HISTORY India Pale Ale was developed in England during their colonization of India. The civilians and soldiers living there had no access to beer of their own, as tempertaures on the sub continent were constantly too warm for brewing. Attempts at shipping beer from England( usually the new 'Pale' ales that were becoming so popular) were foiled by the rocking of the waves and the high temperatures in the ships hulls, which spoiled the beer long before it reached its destination. Back in London, a brewer named George Hodgson began brewing beer for export to India. The beer was brewed with a higher alcohol level, and higher hopping rates to preserve the beer on its journey. The beer was a success in India, and "IPA" as it came to be known, caught on in England as well and a new beer style was born! Our India Pale Ale has a copper/golden colour with a slightly higher starting gravity and hop rates than our regular Pale Ale with medium aroma hops.
FOOD AND SOCIAL The Brew House IPA is a perfect match for spicy foods and BBQ, as it has the fortitude to stand up to the 'big food' flavour, yet is still crisp and refreshing on the palate.
